Reports of new outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in farmed pigs have been submitted to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) by the veterinary authorities of three European countries in the past seven days.
In the past week, presence of the African swine fever (ASF) virus has been confirmed in domestic swine in three Balkans states and Poland, while a handful of further outbreaks in the same population were reported in India, Nepal and the Philippines.
