India has become the second country in Asia to develop a vaccine to protect pigs against African swine fever (ASF), reports The Tribune.

At a recent event at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the national agriculture minister hailed this development as a significant milestone, which will boost the country’s disease preparedness, safeguard swine health and support self-reliance in animal disease control.
