Hungary confirms first ASF farm outbreak

For the first time, domestic pigs in Hungary have tested positive for the African swine fever (ASF) virus. In India’s northeastern states, there has been a sudden flurry of reports about new outbreaks.

On June 3, the first detection of the African swine fever (ASF) virus was confirmed in a domestic pig in Hungary.

Shortly after the confirmation, measures were put in place to prevent the further spread of infection, reported the national food chain safety authority, Nebih.
