New ASF cases in pigs in recorded in 4 Asian states, South Africa

In Asia, new cases of African swine fever (ASF) have been detected in northern India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. While the disease appears to have re-emerged in domestic pigs in South Africa, further cases in the wild population have been confirmed widely in Europe.

India's northeastern state of Nagaland is battling to control outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in domestic swine that have broken out in recent weeks.

In the past week, cases were reported in the district of Chumoukedima by North East Today, and in Phek by Nagaland Tribune. Furthermore, Morung Express has recorded recent outbreaks also in the districts of Tseminyu and Wokha.
