ProAmpac recognized employees across its global operations for their commitment to safety, sustainability, and community engagement during its 5th annual Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Week, held April 22-28, 2025. The event, themed “Our Planet, Our People!”, aligned with Earth Day and the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, featuring localized activities at company sites worldwide.

Several facilities received awards for outstanding contributions to their communities and workplace environments:

Community involvement awards went to:

  • Hartford, Wisconsin, for collaborating with a local high school to involve students in a Volunteer Day clean-up project.
  • Rocky Mount, North Carolina, for participating in the city’s Earth Day clean-up, organized by the Rocky Mount Police Department.

Best project was awarded to Carnew, Ireland, where employees launched “Project Butterfly,” transforming used pallets into planters donated to a local school. The project engaged students in planting and decorating, promoting biodiversity and sustainability education.

Best overall EHS Week programs were recognized at:

  • Manistique, Michigan, where employees organized EHS Bingo, a butterfly garden planting, a children’s poster contest, and planted 150 saplings.
  • Omaha, Nebraska, which featured a milkweed garden, safety-themed contests, a team grill-out, and the “Why I Work Safe” campaign, highlighting personal safety motivations from team members.

“These award-winning efforts reflect the power of local action in building a safer and more sustainable global community,” said Cindy Haven, director of EHS at ProAmpac.

EHS Week is part of ProAmpac’s broader environmental and safety strategy aimed at supporting employee engagement and sustainable practices across its global operations.
