Who owns nutrition performance across an integrated poultry company?

When nutrition, procurement, feed manufacturing, live production and processing optimize separate targets, nobody remains accountable for the final biological and financial result.

I have sat through meetings where feed conversion had deteriorated, and every department had a reasonable explanation. Nutrition pointed to ingredient variability. Procurement confirmed that all ingredients met purchasing specifications. The feed mill produced acceptable laboratory results, production blamed summer conditions, and processing reported greater weight variation. Everybody had data. Nobody owned the complete result.
