2025 Swine Outlook: Trade war may reshape global pork markets

In 2024, global pork production reached approximately 115.6 million metric tons (MMT), marking a 0.6% decrease from 2023. As a result, global pig feed production also saw a slight decrease, totaling 320.8 MMT, down 1.23% compared with the previous year. 

While it’s too soon to predict 2025 pork and feed production volumes, the 2025 Swine Outlook report offers a snapshot of the volatile geopolitical situation poised to shape global pork and feed producers.
