Brazilian pork exports continue upward trend

Increased shipments to the Philippines have helped drive up exports of pig meat by Brazil in volume and value in the first five months of this year.

For the year to date, Brazil has shipped just under 119,000 metric tons (mt) of pork to other markets, generating revenue of just over US$1.38 billion. These correspond to year-on-year increases 14%, and 29%, respectively.
