First ASF farm outbreak of 2026 confirmed in South Korea

While South Korea has recorded its first outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) on a pig farm in 2026, cases of the disease continued to rise in December in one Indian state and in Vietnam.

Approximately two months after the previous outbreak in domestic pigs, the African swine fever (ASF) virus has been detected at a large commercial farm in South Korea.
