Study warns of possible adverse effects from ASF vaccination

New research highlights the importance of careful planning and controls when using genetically engineered vaccines for African swine fever (ASF).

At a farm in Vietnam, reproductive problems and other health issues appear to have been linked to a novel African swine fever (ASF) virus variant. This is according to a paper published recently in Nature Scientific Reports by first-named author Thanh Che Nguyen of Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
