More ASF cases reported in Vietnam, suspected in Ghana

In Asia, further outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) have been confirmed in two north Vietnamese provinces, while new cases have occurred in Bhutan and Indonesia.

In Vietnam, the latest African swine fever (ASF) outbreak stands at 84 in 22 provinces/cities so far this year. Pig losses from mortality or culling were close to 4,500.

This is according to the latest update on the ASF situation in Asia from the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO; as of April 17).
