In the Philippines, progress is being made in the government-controlled African swine fever (ASF) vaccination program.
As of March 28, more than 33,500 doses of the AVAC ASF Live vaccine have been administered to domestic pigs, reported the official Philippine News Agency last week. Vaccinations had been carried out at 32 farms, mainly in the Central Luzon and Calabarzon regions on the island of Luzon. These totals compare with almost 28,000 animals vaccinated at 29 premises at the start of March.
