ASF hits more pig farms in Malaysia, Moldova, Romania, South Korea

Latest confirmed outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) include commercial farms in Europe and Asia. In the Caribbean region, there are fears of a resurgence in the disease after increased pig mortalities in the Dominican Republic.

Among the African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks reported in Europe over the past 10 days are three involving commercial farms.

These include two large units in Moldova, and one in Romania, according to latest notifications to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).
