In a recent update, the Philippines’ authorities report further evidence of the efficacy of  African swine fever (ASF) vaccination of domestic pigs.

Among the 41 ASF-vaccinated hogs being closely monitored by the Department of Agriculture, antibody development has risen to 90%, according to the official Philippine News Agency (PNA; as of October 7). This is broadly in line with the expected response 30 days post-vaccination. These pigs received the vaccine on August 30. After a further 30 days, the proportion of animals expected to show a further response to 95%.
