Five years after African swine fever (ASF) first struck in the Philippines, the first government-controlled vaccination program has begun.

The initial rollout of 10,000 vaccine doses came after a commitment made by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in his third State of the Nation Address, according to the official Philippine News Agency (PNA).
