Among the new detections is a farm with more than 19,000 swine in the Kiev region.

Over the past week, new cases of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported in domestic pigs at large commercial farms in South Korea and Ukraine, while more outbreaks have also occurred in Poland, India, South Africa, and Vietnam.

Among those new cases of ASF is a large commercial unit in the Kiev region, with a herd of more than 19,000 swine affected, according to the official notification to the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). This was the third outbreak in this region since late May, following positive tests in a wild boar, and a group of nine domestic pigs.
