European, Asian states confirm more ASF cases in farm pigs

Italy now has the highest number of ASF cases in Europe in wild boar. Meanwhile in Asia, the disease situation continues to develop in India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

Over the past 10 days, the number of African swine fever (ASF)  outbreaks in Poland’s domestic swine population has risen to five.

Although many of the nation’s wild boar have tested positive for the ASF virus already this year — close to 900 so far — the outbreak on June 4 was its first in domestic pigs since October 2023.
