African swine fever (ASF) virus has recently been detected in wild and domestic swine in Peninsular Malaysia, while further outbreaks are reported in the Philippines and Vietnam. In Europe, recent outbreaks have occurred in non-commercial domestic pigs in four countries, and more widely among wild boar. A new study reveals the disease is under control in the Dominican Republic.
