Adisseo continues growth of US poultry team

Adisseo announces the continuation of its 2017 expansion of the North and Central American regional team with addition of Felipe Navarro, DVM, MBA, James Barton, DVM, and Jeff Lewis to the US office.

As the Director of Marketing, Felipe Navarro will supervise the marketing efforts of the poultry and ruminant teams in North and Central America. Navarro earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology and studied marketing at Columbia Business School after earning his DVM from the National University of Mexico, Mexico City. During his nearly 30-year career, he has held diverse roles at US and Latin American-based companies, including serving as a marketing lead for animal health companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Alpharma Animal Health, Novus International, Zinpro Corporation, Idexx Laboratories and others. Navarro is a member and active participant of the American Association of Avian Pathologist (AAAP) and American Association of Swine Veterinarians.

Dr. James Barton has joined Adisseo as Poultry Technical Manager and will provide technical support on key accounts in the southeast US. Barton has amassed considerable expertise in animal welfare, probiotics, sustainable poultry production and emergency disease preparedness over his 27-year career. He has served as veterinarian and animal welfare specialist at US broiler, breeder and turkey companies, and has also worked as a consultant, providing animal welfare audits, product support and veterinary care. Barton earned his DVM from Louisiana State University and completed a two-year poultry medicine residency through the University of California, Davis Diagnostic Lab System. Barton is a Diplomate of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians (ACPV) and a Charter Diplomate of the American College of Animal Welfare (ACAW). He is a member of the American Association of Avian Pathologist (AAAP), an active participant in the Animal Welfare Committee and Legislative Advisory Committee, and chairs the Food Safety Committee. He serves on the ACPV Board of Governors as the appointee to the American Board of Veterinary Specialties.

Jeff Lewis joins the Adisseo team as the new southeast Business Manager responsible for poultry accounts in Eastern Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. During his 12 years at Cargill Animal Nutrition, Lewis advanced quickly in various business management positions, serving as US Poultry and Pork Account Manager and most recently as business intelligence leader. He holds a degree in economics from St. John’s University, and an MBA in Leadership and Management from California State University, Stanislaus.
