The first model released, the D71 Series, meets API 610 standards and features significant performance improvements over existing designs in the marketplace.

According to the company, StratoLink delivers an average of 26 percent greater torque capacity than competing products while providing 11 percent larger bore ranges. The larger bore capability enables a lighter coupling design that reduces loads and extends the life of driven equipment.

"For decades, engineers have faced limited choices when specifying disc couplings, and StratoLink changes that," said Vance Chavis, global product manager for couplings at Dodge Industrial. "By combining higher torque capacity, larger bores, easier rebuilds, and drop-in compatibility, we've created an exciting new alternative."

A key innovation is the patent-pending bushing engagement system that eliminates hammering and other unsafe rebuilding practices. The company says this makes rebuilds up to twice as fast as loose disc pack couplings.

The design also features drop-in interchange of the center member assembly, allowing for replacement in existing applications without modifying or moving connected equipment.

Dodge has manufactured coupling technologies for over 70 years. The new StratoLink line will serve various industries, including oil and gas, mining, pulp and paper, and power generation.
