Brazil forecasts record-breaking pork exports for 2025

A significant increase in pig meat exports by the Brazilian industry in December could see the country rise to third place in the world pork trade rankings.

During the whole of 2025, Brazil shipped 1.51 million metric tons (mmt) of pig meat products, according to early estimates from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).

A record volume for the country, this represents an increase of 11.6% from the previous 12 months. Furthermore, the development looks likely to drive Brazil into third place in the world export rankings in this category for the first time.
