Formulating protein for ruminants with INRA models

In the field of applied animal nutrition, protein evaluation systems are fundamental tools that guide the formulation of balanced rations for ruminants. Over the past two decades, there have been significant changes in how feedstuffs are assessed for their protein contribution to animal requirements. Nowhere is this more evident than in the transition from the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) 2007 system to the INRA 2018 revision.
