More swine fever cases confirmed in Asia’s domestic pigs

While Taiwan has declared its territory free of African swine fever (ASF), ongoing outbreaks in pigs continue in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and a new area in India.

Further details have emerged over the ongoing African swine fever (ASF) situation in the Philippines.

Fifty-two additional outbreaks involving domestic pigs have recently been registered with the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). These are included in an outbreak series that broadly covers the southern part of the country, mainly the island of Mindanao.
