After 11 pig farms in Estonia were hit by African swine fever (ASF) this summer, the country’s agriculture and food authority have now declared an end to the “emergency” phase of disease control.
As the highest alert level for African swine fever is stepped down in Estonia, new cases in domestic pigs have been confirmed in four other European states, and there are further outbreaks in India.
