Kenya seeks solutions to boost feed, milk supply resilience

A prolonged period of lower-than-average rainfall is driving the East African state’s growers and dairy farmers to explore alternative feeding strategies.

Another fall in monthly milk deliveries has been attributed to insufficient rainfall, which has led to shortfalls in grazing and forages for dairy farmers in Kenya.

This is according to Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe as he addressed the Senate on the sector’s challenges last week, reported The Sunday Standard.
