Food loss and waste is a significant global challenge, with more than one-third of all food produced going unused. The animal feed industry could alleviate this problem by converting these wasted products into livestock and poultry feed, yet the necessary supply chain infrastructure remains underdeveloped, limiting this opportunity’s potential impact.
