Barentz International announces new chief executive officer

Lars Schneider brings 20 years of industry experience.

Barentz International B.V. has announced the appointment of Lars Schneider as the new chief executive officer (CEO) for the EMEA region, effective October 1, 2024. In addition to his role as CEO for EMEA, Schneider will also join the Barentz board.

Lars Schneider is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of industry experience and a strong strategic orientation. He has an extensive international background, having held various leadership roles since 2003 with Brenntag, a global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution. His experience includes positions in Germany, Italy, Canada and the Americas. Most recently, he served as president Specialties Americas and as global president Material Science and Specialties North America. Schneider holds a bachelor of science in economics and a master of business administration. Currently residing in Ontario, Canada, with his partner and three children, Schneider will be relocating to the Netherlands to assume his new position.
