I will be attending the World Pork Expo, in Des Moines, Iowa, next week. It’s my second time visiting the United States since moving back to Europe in 2004. It always feels like coming home, and I certainly look forward to meeting with old friends, customers and colleagues. That, and having Momma's Pancake Breakfast at Cracker Barrel!
But, this year, I will also be there (at World Pork Expo, not at Cracker Barrel!) as your editor of Pig International, and from that association, please allow me to consider everyone a friend, a client, a reader — even if you have not registered at WATTAgNet.com yet.
So, if you see me walking around, please don’t hesitate to stop me to congratulate me on my good work — my classmates wanted me to say that! More seriously, though, one of my first lessons, learned in the U.S. by one of the most successful salesmen (today a CEO of one of the largest nutrition companies in the U.S.), was that one-to-one interaction is always best to find how to help someone. So, I would highly appreciate if you stopped me if only to tell me how to make Pig International a magazine that will help you be more profitable — and that’s my closing argument.
