Fevara PLC, a global provider of sustainable livestock supplements, has entered into an agreement to acquire Domino Industria E Comercio LTDA, trading as Macal, marking the company’s entry into Brazil and establishing its first operational presence in the southern hemisphere.

The acquisition aligns closely with the company’s strategy to gain medium term access to Brazil’s more than 200 million cattle, significantly complementing the group’s northern hemisphere markets, which together represent approximately 110 million cattle. The transaction comes after extensive market and product evaluations and is expected to close within 6 to 8 weeks.

Macal is a leading regional provider of minerals and supplements in Brazil, with products manufactured at its facility in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, and sold through an established distribution network. While its sales are concentrated within Mato Grosso do Sul, home to 19 million cattle, the business is strategically positioned near major neighboring states representing a further 67 million heads. Macal’s range and market presence provide strong synergies with the company’s low-moisture block product line, which will be introduced in Brazil.

Macal’s management team will remain with the business and work with the company’s local leadership to expand distribution and introduce specialist products into the Brazilian market.
