For the past 11 years, porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDv) has been one of the most devastating diseases that the U.S. pork industry faces.

However, a panel of swine health specialists at World Pork Expo agreed that there could come a time when the disease is fully eliminated. The discussion took place on June 6, the second day of the expo, held in Des Moines, Iowa.
