What roadblocks stand between poultry and sustainability?

The road to sustainability is not an easy one, and members of the poultry industry came together during the Animal Agriculture Summit at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) to discuss what obstacles are standing in the industry’s way.

Whether it be from retailers, governments, or even investors and shareholders, poultry producers are feeling the pressure to accurately measure and disclose their Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, but some argue this is easier said than done.
