Nutreco has named Eduardo Lopes Alberto as CEO of Trouw Nutrition and Bastiaan van Tilburg as CEO of Skretting, effective June 1.
Alberto replaces David Blakemore, who will succeed Fulco van Lede as Nutreco CEO, and Bastiaan van Tilburg replaces Therese Log Bergjord.
Alberto joined Trouw Nutrition in January 2024 as vice president of global innovation and research.
Prior to joining Nutreco, Alberto worked at DSM-Firmenich for seven years, most recently as the vice president global innovation and previously as the vice president for the North America region.
Prior to joining DSM, Alberto worked at Elanco Animal Health and MSD Animal Health with diverse global roles in marketing, sales, research and development, and managing business operations in the U.S., Asia and Latin America.
Alberto has a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Estadual Paulista, Brazil, holds an MBA from the University of São Paulo and graduated from the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Van Tilburg joined Nutreco in January 2019 as general manager for Benelux, Scandinavia and France and started his role as managing director for Europe and Central Asia in November 2022.
Before joining Nutreco, van Tilburg worked in various commercial and operational leadership roles at SHV daughter company, Makro, in Brazil. Prior to joining Makro, he worked at Royal Dutch Shell for four years.
Van Tilburg studied at the University of Groningen and holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in International Organization and International Relations.

Van Tilburg will be succeeded by Pieter Bastiaanssen, managing director of Nutreco Middle East and Africa.
Alberto and van Tilburg will join the Nutreco management board.
