Phytase super-dosing: breakthrough or marketing overdose?

The key is not to dismiss super-dosing, but to use it selectively and scientifically.

One of the most talked-about trends in enzyme nutrition is phytase “super-dosing.” Instead of feeding just enough phytase to liberate phosphorus, nutritionists have long been encouraged to add three, four, even 10 times the standard dose. The promise? Not only more phosphorus, but deeper phytate destruction, fewer anti-nutritional effects and better animal performance.
