Traditionally, piglet diets have relied heavily on soybean meal due to its high protein content and amino acid profile. However, the production of soybeans in some regions has raised environmental concerns, including deforestation and habitat destruction, whereas in others is virtually impossible. As a result, there’s a pressing need to explore alternative protein sources that are environmentally friendly and nutritionally adequate for piglet growth.
