Changing weather patterns and fishery management could reduce global forage fish by 20%, limiting aquaculture production, major new study says.

Aquaculture — the world's largest source of seafood — will need an additional 1.8 million metric tons of alternative feed ingredients to keep pace with demand and the impacts of climate change, according to a study published late last year in the journal Nature Food.
