International Aquaculture Feed Formulation Database aims to fill research gaps

Even basic research on nutritional needs is sometimes lacking given the large number of fish species farmed worldwide, founder says.

While the International Aquaculture Feed Formulation Database has made strides toward filling in research gaps for the world's aquaculture producers, the effort still needs more contributors and collaborators to help make high-quality nutrition specs available for every commercial species, researcher and database founder Dominique Bureau told members of The Marine Ingredients Organization in May.
