Grain, oilseed import levies set to go ahead in Zimbabwe

Despite opposition from one industry association, the government is going ahead with the imposition of levies on imported grains and oilseeds in the southern African state.

A High Court ruling last week found that a challenge to Zimbabwe’s government grain import levy framework was “not urgent.” This, in effect, closed down any further consideration of the matter — at least, for the time being.
