The largest integrated poultry producer in Australasia is part of a research project that aims to create animal feed from greenhouse geothermal gases. Inghams is partnering with Tauhara North No. 2 Trust (project owner) and its delivery partner, geothermal consultancy Upflow in New Zealand, to support the decarbonization of the animal feed industry and reduce Inghams’ reliance on imported feed ingredients.

“We were looking for an industry who might be interested in partnering in the project. For us, this partnering was about making the project relevant to end users and ensuring that we can produce something that solves their problems,” said Andy Blair, Upflow's director of business and innovation. “Inghams bring an unparalleled understanding of poultry feed production, distribution and market.”
