New Rusagro rendering plant commissioning raw ingredients

The largest rendering plant for pig byproducts and waste utilization in the Russian Far East has begun the commissioning mode for raw ingredients, Rusagro said.

Plant processes slaughterhouse waste from production sites into protein and mineral feed for animals

The largest rendering plant for pig byproducts and waste utilization in the Russian Far East has begun the commissioning mode for raw ingredients, Rusagro said.

The rendering plant is part of the Rusagro-Primorye vertically integrated pig-raising complex. The plant processes slaughterhouse waste from production sites into valuable protein and mineral feed for animals, such as meat and bone meal, blood meal and fat. The facility is equipped with three lines of processing equipment from Haarslev, the largest supplier of products for processing livestock and domestic waste in the world market. The finished products of the rendering plant are planned for delivery to large food companies such as Nestle and Mars.

The design capacity of the rendering plant will fully meet the needs of Rusagro-Primorye meat processing complex, as well as accept third-party raw materials. At the same time, a unique system for deep cleaning of technological emissions from processed raw materials, installed at each production line of the plant, minimizes the environmental impact.

The next step in launching the production chain of Rusagro-Primorye pig-raising cluster will be starting a slaughterhouse and a meat processing plant with production capacity of 680,000 head per year.
