Former feed company executive charged in alleged bribery scheme

The former chief operating officer (COO) of a Singapore-based animal feed company has been charged in an alleged bribery scheme.

The former chief operating officer (COO) of a Singapore-based animal feed company has been charged in an alleged bribery scheme.

Hooi Siew Yan, 68, the former COO of MJI Universal Pte. Ltd., was charged July 24 for allegedly committing overseas corruption and falsification of accounts, according to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB). Founded in 2007, MJI Universal is a wholesale distributor of animal feed, fertilizers, agricultural chemicals and other farm supplies.
