Cargill named finalist for U.S. Chamber of Commerce award

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has amed Cargill a finalist in the 2016 Corporate Citizenship Awards, in the category of Best Corporate Steward, Large Business.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation has named Cargill a finalist in the 2016 Corporate Citizenship Awards, in the category of Best Corporate Steward, Large Business.

“We know the future of global food and agriculture requires bold new solutions,” said Cargill’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David MacLennan. “At Cargill, being a good corporate citizen advances our efforts to nourish the world and protect the planet. Through our giving and the work we do every day, we are helping customers and communities thrive.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Awards honor excellence in corporate citizenship in eight categories spanning social, environmental and economic stewardship. Over the past 17 years, some of the most accomplished social and community initiatives within the business sector have been recognized through the Corporate Citizenship Awards. In 2010, Cargill received the International Community Service Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation for partnering with thousands of farmers in the Ivory Coast to provide training and increase incomes.
