Top executive at Agrifirm announces retirement

At the same time, the company released news of a 50 percent higher member dividend for 2015

Chairman of Agrifirm’s Executive Board Ton Loman has announced his retirement effective in the second half of 2016. “After working for a period of over 31 years at Agrifirm (and its legal predecessors), the coming year is the right time to transfer the leadership of the company,” says Loman. “Agrifirm is a strong organization with a focus on core activities that consequently provides its members with a great deal of added value. And this is what it is all about.”

The Supervisory Board has already initiated the process of recruiting a new chairman of the executive board.

At the same time, Agrifirm announced an increased member dividend. The Agrifirm Members Council has set the 2015 Member Dividend at 1.00 percent on the basis of the company’s higher operating results and its financial position. This is over 50 percent more than the member dividend rate set in 2014. Based on current price levels, Agrifirm expects to pay over € 12 (US$17.5) million in dividends to its members.

The members of the Coöperatie Agrifirm will accrue this dividend on Agrifirm Feed, Agrifirm Plant and Bonda (pig farming products) sales in 2016.

Agrifirm has refined its strategy in recent years by deciding to increase its focus on the growth of core activities in animal feeds, and in the arable farming and horticulture sectors. The implementation of this strategy is progressing successfully and has produced a significant improvement in the result.
