Innovations aid in boosting productivity, profitability

FIAAP 2015 conference lineup announced

In every sector, companies are looking for innovations to
address ongoing operational challenges. At best, these solutions can enhance
the productivity of their employees and/or equipment. Or, as is the ultimate goal, add
to the organization’s bottom line.

In the feed industry, there are two primary production
tracks that require the most attention and fine-tuning: the manufacturing side
and the performance of the end product. Many variables influence the
strategies utilized to ensure quality — yet one area cannot achieve the organization’s overarching goals without the success of the other.

While assembling the program for the 6th edition
of the Feed Ingredient and Additives (FIAAP) Conference, I’ve kept this
notion of servicing the “total” feed production system in mind. And, with the help of
four judges, I’m proud to announce that the technical portion of the FIAAP
Conference has been finalized. If you are interested in viewing the full event
schedule and the list of presenters, please visit www.fiaap-conferences.com.

For those who may have missed the announcement, here’s a
little information to give this blog some context: Beginning in 2015, WATT
Global Media
and Feed International
magazine have assumed the organization of the FIAAP Conference, which is co-located
with VICTAM International. The 6th edition of this one-day event
will be held June 9th in Cologne, Germany.

In late 2014, we announced the FIAAP call for papers, asking
feed industry stakeholders to contribute abstracts of their latest and greatest
research to be considered for oral presentation at the conference.

We were very
pleased with the dozens of abstracts we received; however, we had to narrow the submissions down to seven. In the end, the selected abstracts split neatly into four
main topic areas: processing (2), ingredients (2), formulation (1) and, of
course, additives (2).

From nutritionists to mill managers, there really is something for everyone. And, no doubt, these solutions can aid in attaining the goals I mentioned earlier.

If you would like to attend FIAAP 2015, our online event
registration
page is also up and running.

Hope to see you in Cologne!
