World’s Poultry Congress comes to Toronto July 13-17, 2026

The 27th World’s Poultry Congress (WPC) will take place July 13-17, 2026, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This is the first WPC taking place in Toronto and represents a major opportunity for North American poultry professionals to engage with cutting-edge research and global industry leaders.

“We’re thrilled to bring WPC to Toronto in 2026,” said Organizing Committee Chair Bruce Rathgerber. “It’s a world-class venue for a world-class event, and we invite poultry professionals from every corner of the globe to join us.”

WPC 2026 will unite poultry scientists, industry leaders, academics and students across disciplines to share research, ideas and build lasting connections. WPC brings together global leaders in poultry science, research and innovation.

Highlights of WPC 2026 include:

· Daily Scientific Sessions exploring key topics across poultry health, nutrition, welfare, sustainability, genetics and more.

· Poster Judging and Technical Symposia featuring global experts and emerging research.

· WPSA Business Meeting and specialized WPSA branch activities.

· Opening Ceremony & Keynote Lecture on Monday, July 13.

· Gala at the Royal Ontario Museum — an evening of science, culture, and celebration, Wednesday, July 15.

· Student Awards and Closing Ceremony on Thursday, July 16.

· Dedicated Youth Program running July 17–18.

The event encompasses multiple poultry science disciplines and covers a broad range of research topics related to poultry production, nutrition, health, sustainability and innovation. From groundbreaking oral scientific sessions and global roundtable discussions to technical symposia and youth programming, WPC 2026 will spotlight the latest research, technologies and trends shaping the future of poultry science.

Speakers include Cheryl Stroud, executive director of the One Health Commission; Dr. Ingrid de Johg, senior researcher, poultry welfare at Wageningen University in the Netherlands; and Huaijun Zhou, professor at the Department of Animal Sciences, Genome Center, University of California-Davis.

The Poultry Science Association will hold its annual meeting just before WPC from July 10-13.
