The appointment follows an earlier announcement on company succession planning.

The Wenger Group has named Hubert Twigg as Vice President and Chief Information Officer in charge of its Information Technology Department.

Twigg, a resident of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, previously served as the Director of IT and Development at Lighting New York and worked at Harsco Corporation. He has an Associate Degree in Business Management from Penn State University and an Associate Degree in Computer from Thompson Institute.

In his new role, Twigg will report to Tim Appleby, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

“In his previous roles, Hubert had responsibility for infrastructure, applications, data management, the global program management office and eCommerce. I am confident that he will be an asset to our organization and drive our IT strategies forward,” Appleby said.

Latest change in company succession planning

Twigg’s appointment follows a May announcement that the company would begin making changes in October 2021 to its key management structure in preparation for the eventual retirement of President and CEO Phil Rohrbaugh.

Rohrbaugh will continue to lead the organization as CEO for the next several years, but his focus will shift more toward ensuring the long-term sustainability of the company and less on day-to-day operations. Accordingly, his focus will be around the execution of the company’s strategy, driving and developing revenue opportunities and growth, acquisitions and business development, and continuing to strengthen corporate governance.

Tim Appleby will move into the new position of senior vice president and chief business officer, reporting to Rohrbaugh. In this position, all shared service functions that support operations (i.e. finance and accounting, human resources and information technology) as well as transportation will report to Appleby.

In addition, Brad Wagner will be promoted to the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer, while Dave Glock will be promoted to senior vice president and chief procurement officer.
