DSM-Firmenich ANH brings Verax prediction analytics application in-house

After 7 years of partnership with InsideTracker, the company acquires full ownership of the Verax platform to deepen precision nutrition and health capabilities.

DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) has acquired full ownership of the Verax predictive farm analytics platform from InsideTracker.

Over the past seven years, Verax has grown into the industry’s only globally deployed early warning platform that enables integrators and growers to predict and assess animal health status through blood‑based biomarkers.

This milestone marks a significant step in advancing ANH’s artificial intelligence, data analytics and precision nutrition capabilities that enable animal producers worldwide to improve animal performance, reduce costs and enhance sustainability outcomes.

Strategic acquisition and future integration

The acquisition allows ANH to integrate Verax seamlessly into its Precision Services ecosystem, ensuring full system interoperability — from data capture and model development to farm‑level advisory support. Three InsideTracker colleagues have also joined ANH to enable a smooth transition and continued innovation.

“With Verax software fully owned by ANH, we strengthen our data-driven and software competencies, helping farmers identify health and husbandry challenges well in advance, while giving us the freedom to enhance this unique platform and accelerate AI-driven innovation in animal farming,” said Ivo Lansbergen, president, Animal Nutrition & Health.

Partnership origins and development

The Verax journey began in 2019, when ANH and InsideTracker jointly set out to translate human biomarker technology and machine learning into actionable insights for animal farming.

“In 2019 we embarked on a joint endeavor with InsideTracker to develop a blood-based prediction and assessment system for animal production,” explained Scott Cavey, head of Precision Nutrition & Health. “Their technological know‑how and scientific rigor helped shape Verax into a robust, credible platform that transforms biomarker data and peer‑reviewed evidence into practical, actionable insights.”

InsideTracker leadership echoed this sentiment.

“The Verax partnership originated with a shared vision: to use data as a prediction mechanism to improve animal health and welfare,” noted Rony Sellam, CEO of InsideTracker. “DSM-Firmenich’s expertise in animal science makes it the perfect home for the pioneering insight that Verax provides, and an opportunity for InsideTracker to more fully focus on expanding the capabilities of our human health technology platform, Terra.”

No changes will occur for existing Verax customers; platform support and service continuity are fully assured during the transition.
