European Protein is strengthening its footprint in Southeast Asia with a new manufacturing facility under development in Malaysia. According to reports, the move comes through a partnership with local animal solutions provider Yenher Holdings and marks a major step toward regionalizing production to better serve customers in the area.
With existing plants in the U.S. and Ukraine, the Danish company previously shipped fermented protein products to Southeast Asian customers from Europe — a process that could take up to 60 days. By manufacturing locally, European Protein expects to reduce freight costs, shorten delivery times, and improve competitiveness across the region.
The Malaysian facility will launch with a drying capacity of 30,000 tons per year, with plans to scale up to 120,000 tons annually as demand grows. The company already supplies feed producers in the Philippines, Thailand and other regional markets and is actively expanding its customer base.
