Tyson Foods has named Kristina Lambert its new chief growth officer (CGO), succeeding Melanie Boulden in that role.
The personnel move was announced by Tyson Foods CEO Donnie King during a quarterly earnings call on May 5.
About Kristina Lambert
Earlier this year, Lambert was named executive vice president of strategic initiatives and joined the Tyson foods enterprise leadership team.
King said Lambert has more than 28 years of experience in the protein industry, having earlier led Tyson Foods’ retail frozen value-added business within the Tyson chicken business segment. In that role, King said, she “expanded our innovation pipeline and managed the relaunch of the iconic Tyson brand.”
Lambert’s LinkedIn profile shows that she first joined Tyson Foods in 2000, having held several leadership positions before leaving the company in 2016. She went on to work for JBS and later Pilgrim’s Pride, before rejoining Tyson in 2023 as a senior vice president and later executive vice president.
About Melanie Boulden
Boulden joined Tyson Foods in February 2023, becoming the company’s first CGO. King said she was retiring from the company, but will remain a consultant for Tyson Foods, to ensure a smooth transition as Lambert takes on the new role.

“I want to thank her for the results she has delivered and the team she has built. We’re sad to see her go, but we wish her the best in the future,” said King.
During part of her tenure with Tyson Foods, Boulden served as both the CGO and as the president of Tyson Prepared Foods. She took on that additional duty following the September 2023 resignation of Stewart Glendinning. She held that role until Kyle Narron was named Tyson Prepared Foods president in October 2024.
Before joining Tyson Foods, Boulden worked in marketing management positions with Coca-Cola, Crayola, Kraft Foods, Reebok and Henkel Consumer Goods.
Tyson Foods, headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas, is the largest broiler producer, sixth largest turkey producer and third largest feed producer in the United States.
