FMD returns to southeastern Europe

As foot-and-month disease (FMD) virus was detected in Greece after a long absence, cases continue to rise on the island of Cyprus.

In mid-March, suspicions of foot-and-month disease (FMD) were confirmed at a farm on the Greek island of Lesbos.

Also known as Lesvos, Lesbos is located in the northeastern Aegean Sea.
