Feed ingredient guidance document open for public comment

Experts from the ICCF have developed a new guidance document on identification and characterization of feed ingredients.

An expert working group of the International Cooperation for Convergence of Technical
Requirements for the Assessment of Feed Ingredients (ICCF), composed of experts drawn from the ICCF founding members, has developed a new guidance document on identification and characterization of feed ingredients. The ICCF Steering Committee adopted the draft guidance document and accompanying checklist for public consultation on the April 29.

The public consultation on the guidance document on identification and characterization and
accompanying checklist is open for comments by interested stakeholders until June 30. Stakeholders are invited to submit their comments, using the feedback documents available below. The draft guidance document provides recommendations to applicants for relevant information on identifying and characterizing their feed ingredient necessary for its evaluation. It provides recommendations with respect to the different types of feed ingredients, as described in the published guidance document on manufacturing process and specifications.
